Mesothilioma

Mesothilioma is a kind of cancer formed due to enormous exposure to asbestos or glass substances, followed by wearing of inner soft lining of body organs. In certain forms this erodes the lining of abdomen (peritoneal Mesothilioma) resulting in various adverse effects. Some of the common symptoms of mesothelioma are Abdominal pain, Ascites, or an abnormal buildup of fluid in the abdomen, A mass in the abdomen, Problems with bowel function, Weight loss etc., In severe conditions the symptoms fall in the category which involves; Blood clots in the veins, which may cause thrombophlebitis, Disseminated intra vascular coagulation, a disorder causing severe bleeding in many body organs, Jaundice, or yellowing of the eyes and skin, Low blood sugar level and severe Ascites. The diagnosis of this disease usually involves a biopsy, where the cells present in tumor is taken out for analysis and CT scans. Immunotherapy is preferred to people having severe stage of this disease where the body’s immune system is provoked to suppress the effect of malignancy.
